ALL ABOUT NIX CHEERLEADING & TUMBLING

Hi and welcome to NIX! Thanks for taking interest in the program. It always seems like the best idea to give everybody knowledge about the history of not only a program but the coaches. 

   NIX came about during an unlikely time. The Bremen Community and Performing Arts Center was working on their remodel and this space had come open. Having worked briefly with the previous tenant prior to the remodel, the space was offered and there wasn't much question on how to respond! It was a big chance to taking during a time of most business being shut down but thanks to you all, it's worked!

   For me (Coach Emmy), NIX has been in the making for the probably a decade and a half. I've coached cheer and gymnastics for 20 years now. I was never a gymnast but coached gymnastics first. I was always a cheerleader though. I've cheered at every level including all star level 5/6 and college. I've also coached every level of the sport. I started with a youth all star team and transitioned to elementary school and followed my team through high school and some through college. I directed an all star program in Indiana for roughly a decade and our senior team was 4th in the nation in their division. To say that cheer is a passion is an understatement. It's just life! I was lucky enough to have trained as a coach under somebody who believed in my coaching skills and sent me all over the country to train under some of the very best coaches out there both for gymnastics and cheer. I do my best now to continue with certifications and continued education in both ever changing sports for not only skills but also the safety of our athletes.
